Obviously a lot of our ills are exacerbated by capitalism, but I can't help but feel there's an underlying myth that when Communism spreads, people will suddenly be "happy".
How are physical and mental disabilities treated? If someone is feeling listless and unmotivated to work their assigned assembly line role, is it time to send them to the gulags?
Maybe if people weren't alienated from their labour it'd be better for their mental health :curious-marx:
you are both correct. labor alienation is a huge factor (maybe the biggest one), but not everything will be solved by ending that. not to mention how we will need some way to "deprogram" people from capitalism considering how brainwormy it is. material causes > brain breaks > material causes > brain breaks > ... and we need to intervene in this dialectic chain
