Personal backstory- I've personally been abused in a polyamory situation and felt like there was no recourse and the community I was a part of was either too traumatized themselves to notice, didn't care because they only wanted to hook up or weren't aware of what was happening. I know that I personally didn't feel like I could reach out to survivor supports.
Community info- So, I want folks to know that many rape and domestic violence centers now have training on polyamory and won't try to talk you into or out of polyamory. Not sure they do international but The Network La Red is an example of a partner violence hotline that deals with polyamory and various non heteronormative experiences. Other hotlines likely exist, The Network La Red might just be the most well known.
