Not by much mind, but beard bros have calmed down a little bit now that it's become fashionable...as if facial hair had to be commodified to be acceptable in the first place... which was part of the annoyance because having a beard is simply the natural state of the male human face.

But cat people have never relented. Y'know what I'm talking about. It's the anthropomorphism and oneupmanship between obsessives. I have a cat, I love that cat, but I'm not interested in the crazy "cats are plotting to kill us" nonsense that other cat-havers try to suck me in to. That's not a conversation of any significance to me or anyone.

Am I just cynical? Probably. People who identify with animals tend to have a social insecurity with humans so maybe being a cat fantasist helps them cope, so I appreciate that. But still I don't care. I'm bored of this convsersation with people and seeing it play out over the internet.

Like I made the mistake of going in to a cat cafe. It was just people sitting around commentating what the cats where doing, what they were thinking, what the cats were 'saying' to eachother. It was 30 minutes of feeling incredibly uncomfortable and hoping nobody would speak to me, when me and my gf just wanted to look at some fuzzy babies while having a cup of tea.

Cats are amazing, they're just not people. Stop this madness.

Please refrain from anthropomorphizing cats in your anti-cat-anthropomorphization speech. Thank you.
