      TechnoFeudalism or CyberFeudalism I think are the best descriptors for what's coming. Hard to get to EcoFascism if the majority of the population couldn't give a rat's ass about the Eco part.

    Colleges already do this, in a way. They provide housing (often optional), and healthcare (not as optional) for their students.

    This essentially means they're turning into company towns, though.

    Have known apartments that do provide internet though and honestly its great. Better than getting it yourself and more inexpensive. The complex will get a business account and divvy it up.

      I haven't really seen that where I am outside of condos (which have cheap fiber to the home options), and if you're renting a room or floor in a house, and it's more practical for the landlord to do it as internet companies won't do multiple connections to a single residential home.
