    I think it's basically just a word applied ad hoc to whatever socialist someone doesn't like, usually MLs. I just sometimes see people respond to something like this by saying that it's misapplying the word as if there's such a thing as a "real tankie".

    But obviously self-described tankies are a different story lol

        You are joking but the only two major tendencies on this website are actual hardcore MLs and anarchists, and somehow they all get along. It’s kinda crazy
