i'm on tiktok a lot lol. this is VERY common. people making fun of "hello kitty ACABs" which is sort of equivalent to like, performative activism in their terms. and usually it's just white teen girls. and obviously white teen girls can be very performative activism-y (even tho that term really has lost its meaning) but its so weirdly like... anti-leftist. its hard to explain, but its super common.
similarly, there was a teen girl on tiktok making fun of leftists and saying we get mad that kids don't want to be shot in school since some of us want to own guns rather than be in favour of gun control. the flavour of liberal politics on tiktok is really weird. gen z politix are definitely fascinating to look into at least lol.
And it's like, I get it. I probably would have been like "wtf" if I had been exposed to more pro-gun leftist arguments if I was still in high school and the threat was there daily. They're just kids for now, hopefully they grow as they get older.
