Ive mostly been emulating rpgs but im looking for some new slop to play at work
I like Really Bad Chess, it's a chess game that gives you random pieces, like five bishops and three queens but no castles. The better you get the better your opponent's pieces become.
"Actually I think we need to compromise with the teachers about how much homework we - Ow! Why are you hitting me!?"
Genshin Impact : It runs scary well on phones.
Endcycle Vs : A mega man battle network clone/fangame
Footsies : A clean little fighting game. The mobile version doesn't have netplay but it has split phone so you can play face to face
I know right!!! I was just finishing up Kotor wishing II was for mobile and then boom it drops out of nowhere.
Anyone have any Pokémon emulators that work well on phones? I want to Pokémon go waste a bunch of time
I second "myboy!" I also dropped the 5 bucks for the full version. For DS I run "DraStic". You can also find a little program online called "Pokemon Randomizer" that allows you to do things like change the starters, completely reshuffle the pokemon locations, and (most importantly, imo) make trade evolutions attainable in game via different methods. And if you're into ROM hacks, check out Elevated Emerald (the dev went and redid every typing, stats, abilities, and movepool of every pokemon in the first 3 gens as an alternate reality where Deoxys' meteor hit the planet and basically caused a mega cataclysmic event.
I also really enjoy blaze black/volt white. Similar rework of Black and White, with some fun typing updates and more easily obtained hidden abilities. You haven't lived til you you play with a grass/dragon contrary serperior. Haha STAB leaf storm/draco meteor go brrrrrr
You can get it for free if you sail the high seas. A lot of torrent sites have APKs you can get.
I use "my boy!" to play the gba games, works pretty well
So I already mentioned the emulators I use elsewhere (myBoy! and DraStic). So a few others:
-
Sudoku: the Clean One - best sudoku app i have encountered
-
Nonogram Galaxy and Picross Galaxy 2 - technically used to be 1 and 2, but they changed the first ones title. Really fun picross games with like over 1000+ on each and the developer still adds more puzzles to both.
-
Cultist Simulator - A single-player rouglike deck building game where you explore a Lovecraft-inspired occult world to basically make a cult and ascend to a higher plane of existence.
Man I want to like Cultist Simulator so much but I just cannot get into it.
yeah its difficult to understand without following a guide that spoils, anyone have some tips?
Just FYI, Alexis Kennedy who made Cultist Simulator is a giant piece of shit. Shame because I really like his writing
Ah dammit. Well I'll have to separate art from artist here then, but that does indeed suck.

Roller Coaster Tycoon classic is amazing. Very well ported to the phone and is everything I remember from playing it in 2000 or so
Dead cells, Stardew valley, Minecraft, terraria are all great options. Gotta spend a bit of money, sure, but you pretty much get full games which is amazing.
Hoplite is pretty good. It’s a turn-based hex rogue-like. Easy to play casually for a few mins but also surprisingly deep and strategic if you want to be
I had fprgotten about that game. That game was rad. I remember agter I beat it I keept looking for thr next one and it seems like it hasn't really had a successor
Hearthstone Battlegrounds. Not pay to win and easy to learn, and also easy to just play under your desk as it doesn't need your full attention once you get good at it.
