I hope you guys made the best of the covid Christmas. I think a lot of people have written this year off.
Even though my Christmas dinner was just rice and butter (with a cup of water) because I couldn't keep anything else down, I'm genuinely overjoyed to be home for Christmas and being able to access the sub without a vpn that barely worked because I had such poor signal on my ward is a bonus. I ended up having to use reddit when I got bored because I couldn't log into chapo on any vpn I tried (they were all too slow and timed out), which was just as awful as you can imagine.
Anyway I just want to say a sincere thanks for all the get well soon messages, I genuinely appreciate them and saved most of them as screen caps.
I'm back in hospital in January for my kidneys and I'm on a prepatory regime of medication til then. Which I've been warned will probably make me feel very, very nauseous. I'm on a one meal a day diet as well. However I get to be at home for my birthday (28th) and new years.
Anyway I guess Merry Christmas to all of you. Thanks for making me feel less shitty about being stuck in hospital.

Originally severe stomach cramping and unexplained water retention, turned out my auto immune disease coupled with the drugs I tooK back in my addict days, lead to previously undetected kidney damage and that's what's been causing all of the pain, nausea and muscle aches. Now they know what it is, its a massive relief knowing it can be treated.
It does however mean the stomach operations I had in 2018 and 2019 were completely useless. Which sucks.
