Cheese is the most expensive ingredient for most pizza places. Despite this they pay workers minimum wage and expect them to pay attention and properly weight out how much cheese to put on a pizza.

Pizzas an odd industry. Lowest paying job I had but also required skills to an extent no job I've had since required. Making a good pizza from start to finish is actually fairly difficult and takes about a month of experience, mostly due to dough but also a bit due to saucing and cheesing. Yet it pays shit so no one stays long enough to get good at it, which is why pizza quality is pretty inconsistent.

Meanwhile my most recent job paid double what I made to manage a pizza place and I barely needed any knowledge to do it.

thats why i go to this local place that pays its workers 15/hr and regularly employs disabled people and they get that wage too. it also has one of the cheapest buffets in town so its generally fucking awesome
