I mean things will still improve with vaccines. Yeah it will take a lot longer to reach heard immunity from vaccination but there will still be millions of people with now a significantly lower chance to get the virus or that will experience less severe symptoms. Idk i don't like seeing all this doomer shit.

It's probably too soon to tell, but is there any indication the vaccine is effective against this mutation?
Pfizer and moderna expect their vaccines to work on the new strain. Apparently the mutation is just the equivalent of someone changing their shirt.
