Most video game subs are the fuckin' worst because they're so astroturfed. Like Reddit managed to do the worst possible thing to video game discussion boards: make companies have an extremely easy time finding where their products are being discussed AND have it be socially acceptable to do so. Like any main sub for a video game is the worst sub. Then you have fairly popular alternative subs that are a little better.

I donno. I just feel like the best of online game discussion has long since passed. I don't think I've seen a really memorable thread in several years. The closest have been shitstorm threads that generally just have content from youtube or twitter posted into them. There's no more insane leaks or bizarre discoveries. All of the legendary threads have already been posted in.

I think the reason I despise Reddit is because it's just destroyed forums, it's near impossible to start them now because for any hobby there's a subreddit that's probably bigger and easier to post on. And it'd be one thing if reddit was just a forum with ads. Hell even the ads that pretend to be posts but are still marked ads wouldn't be so bad. But its an advertising tool for companies to promote their products on in a way that might not seem like advertising, and its just ruined it.
