this but unironically. I want to know their next goal. Healthcare reform? Universal housing? China is leaving me with a cliffhanger here, I need to know

Poverty reduction isn't going to stop because poverty isn't an arbitrary benchmark. Eradicating extreme poverty is very good but China's threshold for extreme poverty is only a little higher than the World Bank's (roughly $2.30 per day in 2011 PPP), it's enough to get by with the bare essentials but far from enough to live a comfortable middle class existence. Furthermore a lot of people are still reliant on government aid, which isn't a great long term solution.

Broader anti-poverty campaigns are going to be the next step, basically getting everyone quality, stable jobs and integrating them into the economy while gradually raising their income. The next phase is less pressing but also much more important and much more difficult.

Awesome, I fucking love the 5 year plan system. So much is able to get done because the entire administration isn't flipped on it's head every 4-8 years by another billionaire with a different national goal

Foolishness! We all know how super- efficient capitalism is, which is why only making plans for maximizing profit in the next quarter is the superior way to manage an economy!
