    I thought they were juche? They understand ML is crucial to the foundations of their society but they dont really identify with it

        yeah probably. I thought they just stopped calling themselves specifically MLs and moreso juche

          you know how people say China is communist in name only? I feel like DPRK is the opposite, they technically follow Juche but literally everything is the same from their ML days: command economy, one party state, etc. They are ML in everything but name

      Juche doesn’t particularly conflict with ML, before they called it Juche it was Marxism-Leninism-Kim Il Sung thought, basically. Socialism adapted to the conditions of Korea.
