The first thing that pops into my mind are conservatives complaining they're being oppressed after they get put in check for their dangerous and anti-social opinions. Anti-maskers refusing to do the absolute bare minimum to protect themselves and others, in the name of their personal rights. Racists complaining after they and their communities get banned. Et cetera.

The US State Department could issue vague statements condemning arrests in a socialist country and I'd think, "Well, were they rocking the boat in the name of capitalism and the west?" There's just zero trust anymore. I don't know what to make of it.
