Except they weren't, if they had been, then they would have. The doors were opened wide for them, and they were practically ushered in. The cops were practically offering them gasoline and matches to burn the place down. The only reason nothing more has happened is because they didn't really want it.

You're absolutely right about how lenient the police/whoever is defending the capitol building has been with the fascists. But take a look, the defense of the congressional chambers was so thin, if there had been the smallest modicum of actual desire to break in there, they would have pretty easily. But nobody opened fire except for the cop that blasted that woman. So no, these folks weren't prepared, and it doesn't really look like they had any real desire to do much more than shit their pants in the streets
