Bonus points if you post a link or meme I can share with family and friends

I once argued with an iPhone user for five minutes straight over whether or not their iPhone was a personal computer. I wasn't even trying to shit on Apple, I just said something like "-personal computers, I mean, even including smartphones" but they were very offended at the suggestion that their iPhone was a PC

Apple's ads set back USians' tech literacy by two generations.

The text messaging incompatibility with android infuriates me. My partner showed me a meme from a text group they were in and I asked why someone else (android user) wasn't in it. One of the people in the group complained about the green bubble issue and the rest just went along with it.

I thought that exclusion shit was just a joke but there really are petty pretentious assholes out there.

    4 little wheels for 800$

    A monitor stand for 1000$

This might be more personal, but the UI makes me vomit, it's abhorrent. Professional my ass.

I hate developer fees. They are a bad idea and Apple should be shamed into oblivion for still having them.

While not the worst way Apple has manipulated its public image, it's certainly the pettiest:

Apple does not 'let bad guys use iPhones on screen'

Film director Rian Johnson has lifted the lid on a secret in the world of product placement – Apple will not allow its kit to be used by a villainous character on screen.

“Every single film-maker who has a bad guy in their movie that’s supposed to be a secret wants to murder me right now,” Johnson added.

omg, the little quick plug for the iFixit Toolkit ($75+) is hilarious in the context of the toolkit provided by framework: literally 1 tool (a Torx T5 that tapers into a flat piece on the other end, costs $5 and comes with stickers) to do everything.

I'm almost okay with idiots paying the snob-tax, but a lot of working class people buy that shit cuz it's a signifier, so of course they foolishly want it. Dude, you don't belong to that class, stop embarassing yourself.

I used to use Macs as a kid because it was effectively 100 bucks more than an equivalent windows machine and in return you got good construction and software

Now it's like a fucking thousand dollar premium and you better not buy ram from them and they don't give a fuck about the computers anymore. Started using Boot Camp to run windows in 2007, bought my first PC tower in 2013

What decade was "when you were a kid"? Just so I know which era of computing we're talking about...

My family got our first computer in 1994 and my last one was in 2007

First one was a Quadra 610 and the last one was an aluminum iMac G5, it broke under warranty and they replaced it with a decently faster Intel iMac of the same style. I started playing games on Boot Camp, got more comfortable with Windows because of it, and never got another Mac

The irrefutable fact that all the Oceangate soda can explorers all had iPhones just occurred to me last night. iPhones and the Oceangate submersible are basically the same product

Also critical support to the EU for ruining their dumb proprietary plug party that shit was hilarious. Hope they do every single other overpriced, proprietary, and deliberately unfixable piece of garbage component Apple makes next

I was talking about how awful Apple was with a friend the other day and started screaming about how much I fucking hate Apple (I guess there are iPhone owners who refuse to date Android owners? I guess they enjoy signaling that they are rich enough to not know anything about technology and have spent their lives treated like babies like the imperial Chinese nobles did with giant fingernails showing they never work? Man I hate apple) and my wife was like they are giving me an apple for my next work computer and I was like dafoe-horror

I call it Rotten Apple Joe in the tradition of the classic film Yatta
