Officer Mark Dial had been charged with murder, voluntary manslaughter and five other counts stemming from the August 14 shooting in Philadelphia. The case was notable in that police initially told reporters Irizarry “lunged at the officers” while outside his vehicle, only to later admit that video disproved that assertion.
Total lies. They shot a man who was conforming to police orders while sitting in the front of his car.
Dismissed because the officers allegedly thought the knife in the guys waistband was a gun.
Charges DISMISSED?
There needs to be a purge of every single judge and cop and prosecutor etc.
There is no redeeming this system.
It's absurd. I sort of expected them to drop the charges to be honest, but surely the police should be able to prosecuted for blatant obstruction of justice at the very least? They completely falsified what happened at the crime scene.
Cops always "fear for their lives". Fuck them and fuck this rotten system.
I hope those cops will fear for their lives in earnest one day.
Their instructional videos are absurd. Every scenario training exercise ends in the 'criminal' attempting to kill the officer. No wonder they're scared all the time.
Well, not that many of them are actually scared, but it is interesting to see the behind the scenes.
You're right that they're being taught this stuff very deliberately and systematically. See, for instance, perhaps America's most popular cop trainer: "killology" expert and professional dipshit Dave Grossman.
Meanwhile on reddit white libs already jerking themselves off to the idea of people getting arrested for property damage in response to this.
Already seen it on Instagram, in response to people looting an Apple store, and then getting battered by police while being held on the floor.
I also saw one where people looted an independent mini-mart (or corner shop, whatever you call them) for alcohol and vapes, which actually seemed quite sad for everyone involved.
That's fucked up they deffinitly shouldn't be hitting actual local business should be solely targeting corporations.
It's so they can say there was potential threat to their lives - a gun can take a life in a split second, as the officer demonstrated.
