    I doubt Josh Hawley or Ted Cruz will be expelled from the Senate, although their reputations may be badly damaged. In either case, I think they will both run for President in 2024.

    There could be some chud Representatives that the Republican Party would be more than happy to replace, if they keep tacitly endorsing the coup.

      I gotta agree. Hawley has 4 years to figure out how to thread the needle of american fascism. If he wants to, and he can appeal to both the qanon wing and evangelical wing of the republican party, he can probably indefinitely postpone presidential elections come 2028.

        I have a weird feeling about this guy.

        He strikes me like a version of Pete Buttigieg who is more right-wing, better able to appeal to broader swathes of the population and has had more political success.

      If Cruz is running in 2024, then I'd like to be the first to court his endorsement now. Mr. Cruz, your dad killed Q and your wife is hideous.
