"There's lot of uncertainty here" in a panicked voice as he tries to analyze the collapse of neo-liberalism, with the intellectual framework of neoliberalism.

It's pretty funny, because its the most serious attempt I've heard to analyze the situation completely straight faced from libs, but basically no use of words like "facist" "capitalism" "material conditions" and other words that are basically the entire reason it's all happening.

These poor poor souls, trying to explain why it's demons and not germs that are making the king sick.

Nate Silver got called out on twitter by an (ex?) or current staff member for downplaying white supremacy reporting for years.

"the Georgia primaries are pretty big f****** deal, I don't know how to compare these two stories, but they might be a bigger deal than the violence in the capital" - Nate Silver

How do you rank the quality of polls taken on the collapse of everything that keeps you employed, Nate?

If liberals had to confront the coup as it is and examine why it happened, either they'd be compelled to not be liberals and lose their privilege or they'd be forced to ask who the fuck cried for the czarists when the czar's abuses fractured the country in different ways while they undermined the socialists and allowed the persecution of the czar's victims. If the people Pelosi spent her career doing violence to through her policies to enrich herself come knocking, it sucks that fascist terrorists vs. royal terrorists is the new paradigm but at every stage before that liberals denied the problem and denied the blame. Here's a :shocked-pikachu:, hopefully she rethinks her stance on gun control before 30-50 feral hogs do it again in a week after another week of their lives getting worse.

I think Nate deserves a little bit of credit because in the lead up to the election he actually took the threat of electoral interference serious and he clearly sees the seriousness of the situation but lacks the tools to truly diagnose the cause. I don't think he will be a comrade anytime soon but we will need sympathetic libs to fight fascsim.

My money is on Nate Silver joining fascists if he had to choose between that and fighting them. He has a very anti-left, centrist fundamentalist record.

He's the kind of person who would back Hindenburg but deny enabling Hitler's rise
