Haha I was gonna leave myself open to anything, but I do have to say I'm not into extreme metal rn hahaha :P I like some of the more ambient metal tho, for sure!

Honestly, I'm in like a super chill, vibin' mood right now. So whatever, but anything that leans vaguely ambient would be nice too .

Wow, I'm really vibing on this Masayoshi Fujita & Jan Jelinek album right now. I haven't listened to much ambient ambient music, but this is really really good. I'm loving how I feel . thanks :)

Hahaha heck ya. So did I; I listened to Beautiful Speck Triumph by Birchville Cat Motel afterward, and it was totally transcendent. Turns out I really, really love ambient hahaha!

Depends. What mood are you in? Are you high? Can you get high? If you can get high for it I’ll give you a cool album that will improve your life

Is it lame to recommend some oldies? Well, here I go anyway:

    Fragile by Yes

The Quiet Zone/The Pleasure Dome by Van der Graaf Generator

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars by Bowie

It is based to recommend some oldies. I love oldies. I haven't listened to nearly enough of these musicians, and so I absolutely will. Esp Bowie, I need to give Bowie a little more love :)

Fuck the World by Brent Faiyaz is real nice smooth RnB vibes. There's lots down this alley like 6lack and partynextdoor, but start with that one 👍

Yup, Superorganism is where it's at. I saw them live in Portland what seems like forever all, but it was probably like last summer or something.

Say Anything's ...Is A Real Boy album is a pretty aggressive punk/emo record which -- aside from being masterfully written, performed, recorded, and produced -- was a towering influence on my adolescent worldview and helped radicalize me both politically and emotionally. It's hard to say whether the album speaks to this part of me, or installed this in me, but I do not take any bullshit after I've listened to it (which I do regularly). Maybe not everyone's cup of tea stylistically, but I think anyone can at least appreciate the impeccable craftsmanship of the album. The guitars are supremely crunchy, and not just warm, but scalding hot. The basslines will stick in your head. The drum fills are ridiculous. The progression and dynamicism of each track will leave you saying to yourself, "How the hell did I get here? What did the beginning of this song even sound like again?"

To test the waters I recommend the tracks "Belt", "Woe", or (from the same recording sessions) "Slumming It With Johnny."
