    That the driving force of the cosmos as it pertains to me is a petty and vindictive irony that seeks to punish me, but in a way that can be gamed. So things like, if the last thing I said to a loved one was shitty they're more likely to die tragically so that my last words to them sucked; but by the same token I can keep them safer by parting on good terms because then the knife isn't twisted.

    That the universe as it actually exists has no special status by virtue of its being tangible to me. Any alternative that could hypothetically be described (and perhaps even those that can't) carries just as much significance. A universe where, by incomprehensibly improbable quantum contrivance, magic seems at all times to work is just real as the one I experience; so too would one where things go just like they have for us so far but a small meteor strikes the Earth 5 minutes from now and destroys Nancy Pelosi's stolen laptop.
