Description:
Constitutional lawyers Glenn Greenwald and Zephyr Teachout join us to answer the big holdover question from last Wednesday's "coup attempt": What rights do we have on the internet? Was Twitter right to ban Trump? If so, by what standard? Should we cheer the de-platforming of Parler? And if so, what protections does the radical left have from being similarly treated? We tackle the politics of Section 230, explore anti-monopoly solutions to the internet speech and privacy problem, and pay homage to Glenn for all of our success.

Subscribe to Bad Faith on Patreon to instantly unlock our full premium episode library: http://patreon.com/badfaithpodcast

Or subscribe to Glenn Greenwald's competing ex-Bernie staff member podcast After Hours at his Substack: https://greenwald.substack.com/

Subscribe to Bad Faith on YouTube to access our full video library. Since this turned into a small Glenn struggle session, I've loved watching him criticize dems on Tucker Carlson. But after seeing a bunch of clips... has he mentioned republicans even once? I obviously despise the "if you talk shit about dems you're for trump" logic. But basically all of his critique fits neatly into support, possibly critical support of the republican party. I guess he wouldn't be invited on if he did that, but it honestly feels pretty irresponsible and dishonest.
And it's not like Tucker Carlson watchers will follow up like "this Glenn guy sounds smart let's read his substack." Tucker just uses him as a mouthpiece. I say this with full love and respect for Glenn because his takes are usually on point. Anyway kill your heroes and think for yourself.
