Yeah, the clinical data on unfreated adhd is pretty rough. Not as bad as some things, but for sure an issue to be treated.
Sounds like his dad had has it as well. It tends to be genetic. So you got an adult with untreated ADHD trying to manage a kid with untreated ADHD and it is a bad scene.
Probably first step is to get the kid off the Xbox. With everything going on it is just too much stimulus. See if he can manage playing with Legos
