    I don't, and I'd wager nobody does, care about how smart cows are. That's a very 'shouting "he has fingernails!" at a woman walking into an abortion clinic' line of logic.

      I do, and I'd wager that in fact many people care. There is a huge difference to me morally between eating a cow and eating, say, insects.

              This is starting to turn into a pretty absurd conversation but: obviously, I'm talking about species here. A toddler will become more sentient as he/she grows up.
