The unalive and whatnot doesn't annoy me that much, more just bums me out that people have altered their language to bend to the whims of a profit-maximizing algorithm to the extent that they end up reflexively self-censoring on other platforms (or maybe don't even realize that the same censorship doesn't apply everywhere). Ultimately, it's an in-group signifier like any slang and I'm not going to go full old-man-yells-at-cloud just because zoomers are talking like their peers.
