I don't care what you think about China. This shit is stupid. We don't need war in the middle of a pandemic, even if it just ends up being a trade war. We'd lose that war. Call me a paranoid freak but this kind of shit terrifies me.

It's like a light dims in people's eyes. I hate seeing it. Their soul drains out of their body. These are people who are so human, so lively, will behave normally and I'll start to feel a connection with them, then something will flip them. I don't want to say it's like that stupid NPC meme the internet reactionaries use, but I don't know what else to compare it to. Something about China, something about Joe Biden, something about transgender people, anything to trip their sensors. It's like clockwork. It's machinery. They say the most utterly vile shit as if it's nothing and don't even recognize that anything could be upsetting. They live in a realm of entertainment. It's sports to them. How am I supposed to even be around people when I know there's a good 50% chance something like that will come out of them. I try to be forgiving but it's entirely depressing me. I'm tired.
