I know it doesn't show a karma in our profile, but is there not some sort of record in the database that new users could be required to surpass before being allowed to post? Also maybe a time limit between posts, or even before a first post from account creation.
I've heard there's already a karma limit for image posts. One potential issue with putting in a limit for all posts is then they'd just spam comments, which are less visible and thus harder to stamp out. Not a mod, that's just my opinion
Seems like a pretty good take, and also that we shouldn't do stuff that would make it harder to be on this site for good faith users, barriers to entry for stuff can be scary for a lot of people
