Seder seems to be of the same mind as Steven Pinker that basically things will continue to get "better" in some sense. He said something about how millenials will live longer than boomers/GenX, I've never seen the rest of the crew disagree with him faster. But also it explains why he is so okay with gradual change, he doesn't believe there is a hard time limit on when the left could accrue power. It makes me think he greatly underestimates what the consequences of global climate change will be, because as far as I'm concerned if socialists don't get significant support within the next few decades, climate refugees and resource scarcity will be the wedge issues that fascists will use to take power.
