Fred Hampton brought me, a white cis male, to the left, with this simple speech:
"We say all power to all the people.
We say white power to white people.
Brown power to brown people.
Yellow power to yellow people.
Black power to black people.
X power to those we left out."

I never felt like I was included in the left until this speech. I thought because of white privilege I was the class that needed overthrowing. But it's not a race war. It's a class war. And it's the capitalists versus us. Stupidpol would read this speech and say, "See? All we need to do is get whitey onboard!" and leave it at that. But it's not like that. You need to get everybody in the working class onboard. That means black comrades. That means trans comrades. That means neurodivergent comrades. That means cis comrades. That means white comrades. That means rednecks and gangs and trailer park rats and the homeless and the working poor and the underemployed and the disabled and the diabetic. Intersectionality is the coalition building tool we need to overthrow capitalism. Your liberation is thus tied to my liberation. We are not free until we are all free. Solidarity forever.
