My current dog is the least smartest one I've both ever had and ever known. She has really weird ticks sometimes that are impossible for me to control, but when she wants to be a lovebug she is great at it. She is a rescue dog and we don't know her past, all I can do is comfort and console her when she gets worked up over seemingly nothing. It's rough but I love her, she doesn't have a mean bone in her body but she definitely has some issues.
