The way capitalists dress, polos and suits, is not only boring, but I think I realize what else I don't like about it. It's inhuman, a nostalgic wistfulness for the days of open child labor and African colonies. Not that I think it's a conscious choice on the part of the wearer-They're usually just "dressing fancy" as far as they know, the context lost to time, baked in, assumed as part of the foundation. A copy of a copy of a copy of something a man once wore while he violently "civilized" his surroundings, something for his descendants to wear while they "bring democracy" to a world that wants them gone. It's not human clothing. Sure, it's clothing worn by humans, but it's primary function is symbolic. It's a Civilized Man Costume (TM), worn to distinguish oneself as the sole rightful inheritor of the right to commit violence, and to distinguish one's violence as good and necessary. I realize this is not new information, but damn.

In my mind, this contradiction is heightened (scnhiff) by Bill's old man body trying to express it's humanity from underneath this macabre facade. When I'm old, I'm just gonna switch to tanktops 24/7 and embrace the monke.
