      I would probably still kill the latter. If you own tens of thousands of houses you become a market force, not a person

        We might not be toiling in muck and surrendering the first bedding rights of our spouses, but we're still forking over an absurd amount of our labor power just for the privilege of not freezing to death.

      Ι guess it might not be the same in the US but in Greece there's still poor landlords. Probably because of the higher home ownership rate. There's some people who make like 600 euros a month but also they inherited a small apartment they can rent out for like 250 euros, most of which won't be profit. Some of them can still be pretty shitty tho. But of course most landlords don't fall in that category either way.
