I'm sure that this will only end well (for US imperialist interests)

The question is are they planning on shoring up the Lebanese government in exchange for forcing even more austerity and kleptocracy, as the US did to Haiti after the earthquake, or do they think they can find an even further right faction to hand a bunch of guns and promise diplomatic support to in the hopes of getting an even bigger feeding frenzy? Do they want to tighten their grip or just spread blood and horror for sTrAtEgIc ReAsOnS?
