biden could literally arrest this man, and the supreme court would probably uphold it. the democrats allowing this is the highest order of incompetetence. who could vote for people who won't govern and actively collaborate with the opposition like this?

I can't stop thinking about yesterday when I Lemmy lib popped into my thread and unironically said...

I love people acting like a lone Senator can achieve anything.

Being a liberal means you lecture people to vote and then when the dems don't actually do anything - you lecture them more. And when a leftist points out that fish rots from the head and Biden the biggest problem then you tell that YoU dOn't UnDeRsTaNd HoW pOlItIcS wOrKs.

if you really think about it, the important thing is that no changes are made that might reduce my material privilege

If you want to point out to libs how Biden could easily fix this, the hypothetical is that he could federalize the Texas National Guard and order them to tear all this down.

An actually Dark Brandon: "I'm federalizing the Texas National Guard and I have instructed them to tear down the illegal barbed wire fence installed by the unhinged right-wing Texas governor. He put it up between Texas and New Mexico. I will not allow such a fence between states!..."

Lib Dark Brandon: Biden with laser eyes on a coffee mug.

Dark Brandon used to be a right-wing fever dream, and then the libs discovered it.

Distract a baby - jangle car keys.

Distract a lib - Dark Brandon!

It's so depressing to me how libs religiously follow and are totally outraged by everything related to Trump. They've made him their boogeyman but they refuse to accept the entire republican party is a danger to the country.

Scalise called himself "David Duke without the baggage" and he might become speaker soon but they yawn at stuff like that. Trump is all they care about.

Scalise called himself "David Duke without the baggage" and he might become speaker soon but they yawn at stuff like that.

Libs yawned at David Duke too, baggage be damned lmayo

Libs are entranced to the Spectacle, both good and bad. If it isn't spectacular it never crosses the lib. X without the baggage is precisely (*sniff*1) what liberals want. He's signalling his anti-spectacular-ness. After years of Trump hysteria, it speaks to a genuine desire (*sniff*1) for a politics that doesn't constantly drive them to anxiety. The best way I characterize liberal "progress" is letting the old racists/bigots/etc die and society will "naturally" (*sniff*1) drive towards progress and Justice2. Its self-serving because they don't have to do anything. It's ahistorical; materially ignoring all the others in the past who actively fought for that progress. But I understand the desire for a calm.

1 It's *sniff* pure Ideology, you know zizek

2 This progress is a material force, which is why the Conservative counter-hysteria about progress has some truth. History Bends Towards Justice, but the liberal forgets the material hands (often bleeding) doing the bending.
