Welcome back. This part of the series will be primarily focusing on genres. I think outlast was pretty good.
At the time amnesia the dark descent was awesome and revived spoop games but it’s model was beat to death afterwards.
Soma, not super scary but good existential dread.
When Machine for pigs first came out I wished it had a bigger budget so it could’ve lived up to The Dark descent
Now I just wish it had mancops with sirens welded to their faces.
Well part of the difference is that mfp was made by a completely different studio than dark descent with only a little bit of input from dark descents designers, but i feel you. Soma is my favorite thing they’ve ever made tho, IMO they really came back swinging on that one
I wish they'd continued their Penumbra games after Amnesia, instead of making Amnesia 2 and SOMA
