Leftist protest music is amazing. Reactionary ‘art’ is extremely shit because the ideas behind it are so ugly and inhumane.

Yes, supporting current oppressive power structures is something brave and cool (according to right wing morons)

Rise Against indirectly had a huge impact on me. Back in like 2007 somebody made a music video to one of their songs with really brutal images from the Iraq War. (Because I guess you could upload that on yt back then.) Seeing a child with half their head blown off as a 13 year old sure pushed me towards being anti-war and anti-imperialism.

I remeber that music video. These guys seem to be non sectarian leftists with a soft spot for anarchism. Especially Tim.

My favourite band! "Generation lost" from the same album is also really good. "Blood Red White and Blue" is another amazing song too.

My favorite too. Great fucking band. Especially the first 4 albums that were like hardcore punk/ skate punk style.

Eh I got like a little bit into like the Misfits at one point, and poked around psychobilly for a minute after I saw Reverend Horton Heat live, but I never really explored punk in general, just felt like whenever I tried it was 99% random teenagers who didn't know how to play their guitars screaming at the top of their lungs

Like I'm sure if I sifted thru I could find good music but it never really felt felt worthwhile
