The calm before the storm...
At least two weeks. They're going to do everything they can to put off the checks as long as they can. I expect after Trump's trial they're going to spend a week or two publicly executing MGMT or whatever her name is.
The last second for the stimulus is going to be the end of March, because they want to extend unemployment benefits, and that's when they're set to end. They basically are only doing anything pandemic related on deadlines. I think this new one will set dates out to September, which is likely the earliest we will actually see anything else beneficial for the working class.
They probably won't do anything in September, the 25-30% of the population vaccinated by that point will be almost entirely elderly liberals, PMC work from home brunch types, and anyone tangentially related to healthcare. Very few if any essential workers will be vaccinated, and they'll just say "okay. Back to normal, everyone... We said get back to work, Poors!" The five remaining empty jobs in the country will be filled and they'll pretend everything is fine and that the unemployment rate is fine because if there aren't any jobs to look for, you're not really looking for a job, and thus don't count as unemployed by their metrics.
