If you didn't like it, you weren't committed enough to: paying attention in the game, and watching the movie, and watching the anime, and watching the trailers, and playing the demos, and reading the prequel short story, and playing the DLCs, and reading the novel.

Things that only work as multimedia endeavours are kinda sus. No I haven't thought about this for more than 10 seconds why dyou ask

No piece of media is objectively good or bad.

I found the romance to be underdeveloped and kind of pointless? I had no connection to Lunafreya except from Kingsglaive and even then I didn't really care when she died. Noctis' best memories of her where when he was like 12 years old.

On the other hand, I thought the bromance stuff was pretty good and the combat was fun enough. Not a great game, but I enjoyed it.

I'm much more excited to see what the team coming off of FF14 can do with FF16. Apparently there is news coming this month.

I just couldn't get over how janky the storytelling is. At no point in the game did I fully understand what was happening and why.

I even watched the movie but I wasn't any wiser for it.

It was actually fun for a while regardless but I dropped it after that boss battle where that guy goes blind and there's a very sudden and jarring tone shift and it goes all grimdark on you.

I never played 15, but that trailer they showed for 16 looked badass. I might actually be interested in a Final Fantasy game for the first time in years.

For some reason I thought you were talking about Final Fantasy XIV which is in fact a really good game. Shockingly good for an MMO. As for XV I haven't played it, but know about the insanely troubled development cycle.
