I like Ducktales but it is pretty weird that we root for this guy that just steals gold and treasure from around the world. I often hear the defense "But it's okay that he's rich because he earned!" which ignores the fact that presenting a world in which someone could earn that wealth is part of the propaganda. Really good art in the comics though. Maybe some day they'll reboot the series and make it Marxist or something where Scrooge's adventures involve him taking treasure from Museums and back to the cultures they belong to, gaining an understanding of different people in the process, kinda like what they did with Carmen Sandiago.

The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck is really great (art and storytelling-wise) but it's uhhh, basically a chronicle of colonial exploitation and resource extraction (Scrooge even gets cursed for his capitalist crimes). My favorite part is probably the Yukon gold rush story.

That episode where Scrooge gets cursed is also super racist, although that's in keeping with the original Carl Barks comics which were also very racist.

What's even worse are the Disney adults who work there. They'll work full time and then spend their time off at the parks. It's like Stockholm Syndrome.

That makes sense though. If my factory had waterslides, and I had kids stuck at home - you betcha ass they're going on the free waterslides

Story time: A couple that I know are BIG TIME Disney adults, like they own a timeshare at Disney World (to be fair, it's probably the only legitamate timeshare that exists). Anyway, one of them works with cops, the other works in a field that actively gentrifies our local city.

The one that works in the public sector with the pigs is proud to be a union memeber because 'teh gooberment will take advantage of you!!'. The one that works with realestate development etc is an exec and constandly complains about the union members that their in charge of if they talk about work. Constantly denegrating the working class people under them who are barely getting by. They both state say that you don't need a union in the private sector because of... reasons? The one that is in the private sector additionally told us about how they fired a single mother for poor performance and was indiferent to her suffering. Additionally they also discuss how the gentrification that they do is good for the community, blaming homeless people for their own plight - this person is the more liberal of the two. Rhe one that works with the pigs opined about how a hog they work with was scared about the George Floyd protests, and how this cop should NEVER have to worry about making it home to their family safe. This is the same person I've seen reading a glowing biography of Walt Disney, and talking about how much of a visionary and good man he was.

    Disney adults are fucking freaks.

As a former Disney adult, the way I enjoyed the experience at Disneyland back in radicalization was by appreciating the art created by artists who were very much being exploited by Disney as a whole. For example, we Know Nazi Walt Disney utilized Anaheim PD and LAPD for his union busting activities. Many of the artists who were unionizing and working for Disney were Marxist themselves. They organized bravely against Fascist Disney, they were artists who were passionate about their art for children.
