“The core membership of the DSA has not shown any sympathy at all for innocent victims of Hamas’ barbaric terrorism, where the adults in the room have realized that that’s not a viable path forward for any political party in the United States,” Greenfield added. maybe-later-honey maybe-later-kiddo

      the adults in the room

I don't mock this regularly for no reason. The belief that there are Adults In The Room that Make The Hard Decisions and Get Shit Done is part of the core of liberal ideology.

DSA is not exactly standing strong here. All they've done is run away from the NYC rally. It's not an ideologically coherent organization.

At their little retreat-decision-making-thing one of the caucuses (like a party within the DSA but fake and weak) brought a Hong Kong protest activist to make the case for cutting any form of support or ties with certain countries' socialist delegations (e.g. China). They lost their case but that same group succeeded in disbanding the BDS group with some allies, one of the only good things about the DSA. Then the overall group supported most of the IC's things (one of the only other good groups). Then they voted for a milquetoast anti-Zionist statement. Finally, they procedurally stalled a reckoning on a stronger anti-Zionist statement that would have come with consequences for reps that undermined BDS / supported the apartheid state. Instead, they went to lunch and then patted themselves on the back for a job well done.

This is your brain on the DSA.

My experience trying to set up a local DSA chapter was pretty shitty, and 75% of that suckage was due to dealing with national leadership. I left that experience convinced that there was a non-zero number of people in the national office who were there as camouflaged hurdles to chapter establishment and inter-chapter organizing.

Yes not an internal reckonging on giving the Does Not Care Corporation life support. Now they got a bunch of frothingfash LIB in addition to the trad frothingfash

I warned them. And now it's fuck-around time.

They should stand their ground. It isn't like the DNC gives a flying fuck about them anyways. Please dump the DNC. Show what an org loke that truly outside the DNC can actually do.

Devoid of empathy is Hasbara projection against the wholesale ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Fuck these scratched LIB

Empathy means caring about one team and hating the other team and wishing for their utter annihilation. galaxy-brain
