my SO was telling me yesterday that when they watched tv when she was little she had to have the remote ready to change the channel if the show even had a black character in it bc her step dad would freak the fuck out.
You don't get it every movie has to have a chyron scrolling across the bottom of the screen at all times saying whether or not the filmmakers support the actions of the character. Otherwise we could nver figure out skinning puppies is bad, actually
