Strive is a definitely a little easier to wrap your head around than previous GG games. Start with some of the more simple characters (Ky, Sol, Giovanna are great in Strive) and work your way up. It's honestly just a matter of putting in the work, and playing against people. A lot of new players start by sitting in training mode and trying to learn combos, but combos will only get you so far when you don't know how to actually use them in a match against a real person. Play a lot, ask a lot of questions, and you'll improve way faster than you'd think.
