    I’m just your run of the mill low effort poster/lurker whose only good bit is simping for the mods because they do a lot of unpaid labor for us to have a site with more than decent usability.

        It's the central contradiction of any platform.

        Free speech fucking blows, and the only value a platform provides comes from moderation.

        An AA group is useless for encouraging sobriety is you don't moderate it and prevent frat bros from from bragging about how awesome getting wasted is, and so on.

          I meant more that the left wing platform that relies on uncompensated moderators has a central contradiction but that’s real “we live in a society” level analysis. There is such a thing as intrinsic reward. Also everyone who can donate should!
