If you're interested in learning more about the BPP, I would recommend reading From The Bullet to the Ballot by Dr. Jakobi Williams. He is a civil rights activist and one of the leading BPP historians. Most of my information in this comment is sourced from a class I took with him about the history and development of the Black Panther Party. I also know we heavily referenced Black Against Empire in that class as well.
If movies are more your speed, The Black Power Mixtape is good, and although I've never seen it, Spike Lee made a Huey Newton Biopic
