I haven't been following US politic lately, so I wonder if anyone still remember or disapointed that Americans couldn't "go back to brunch" as Biden has promised, given the state of the country right now? In other words, are the libs "enthusiastically" defending him these days, or are they just "Well, that is all we got."?

Lots of libs are defending Biden despite evidence that he's a fucking loser. Lots of cognitive dissonance but they're still giving him the benefit of the doubt. People saying "it's actually ableist to make fun of Biden's stutter" as if his brains aren't leaking from his ears. On social media I pointed out that he's done jack shit and people were like "Oh yeah I bet you'd rather have Trump then huh."

The libs I know are still talking about Trump, and how he’s a threat in 2024, and how the GOP will crack if he starts a Patriot party. :deeper-sadness:

My dark prediction for 2024: Trump starts a new party, the dems signal boost it to spilt the republican vote, this of course backfires and trump is president again with a new party

Meanwhile, my rent has skyrocketed to $1700/month and the highest paying jobs around here start at $10/hr.

How long until there's no other option?

"He hasn't even been in office 3 months, government takes time" is the current go-to line. We will see how this changes in the next two weeks when House and Senate debate the stimmy package.

Nah, just need to reflexively defend Joe Biden despite him delivering on basically zero promises.

I've had a lot of lib friends excited that they don't hear about him in the news every day. I know I'm terminally online and follow this shit closely but there's big shit going on most days that they don't care about cuz it doesn't automatically reach them and it's so frustrating (but not unexpected)
