Hey all, I've posted some music here to good response and even worked with a chapo comrade on some music and I'm looking to do more collabs. I don't want to dox myself so I'm not going to post my main music stuff, sorry, but here is some unreleased stuff that I'm down to post publicly in the hopes of finding some other producers to work with.
I've been producing in Ableton for about 9 years and used FL Studio for several years before that. I'm trained in mixing and mastering and can handle most aspects of a complete project. Lately, I'm interested in making dance music like deep house and chill experimental stuff, but I'm open to most anything. I have a background making dark synthwave and psytrance with some chill dub vibes but I'm trying to expand into more chill, lighter music. I need some uplifting vibes. Lately I've been listening to a lot of vaporwave and deep house I guess, but I'm kind of in a period of exploration so I'm pretty open to any new stuff.
Ideally, I would like to work with people using Ableton too, but we can probably work around it however is needed. Stems can always be exported.
Anyway, here's some tunes. If you like what you hear and are interested in collabing, please hit me up! Really looking to make some more connections with other artists.

edit: Damn, thanks so much to whoever featured this post! Solidarity 🙏
The last collab was accomplished by just freezing tracks for the interim. If I need to make edits to someone else's track and I don't have the plugs then I can duplicate and flatten it and edit the audio channel instead.
The return and master channels will probably just need to be figured out at the end but we can load similar settings in them. I think that process worked pretty well before, but we can definitely work with audio stems too. I do prefer having visible MIDI if possible though which is why I think freezing is preferred.
I haven't worked with a label before but that sounds really frustrating so my condolences haha. Hope the resolution is a tenable one for you all. Also open to any workflows you might have and like. I'm pretty flexible for the most part.
yea that makes sense. I tend to end up with everything in audio by the end of the project bc I usually finish everything off in pro tools bc i like it better for mixing and its what ive been using at my job for my whole career (plus we have a really good summing amp at my job) and also i like to manipulate audio with abletons warp algos but I always keep the midi around just in case. (you never know when youre gonna have to come back months or years later and not remember anything lol)
but i'm extremely flexible so freezing works well, only problem with freezing is its hard to move the regions around i think.
its a mixed bag. My last label was super chill, the owner pretty much gave us carte blanche and just released things when we were done. This new one, i think the owner just likes making things difficult to feel like he had his hand in it some how idk lol
Cool, yeah that makes sense too. Keeping empty (plugins, not patterns) MIDI channels and pressing to audio on everything else is fine too, I just like the MIDI as a reference if possible. Especially if you have a good summing amp. I don't use any outboard gear right now, it's all packed up in boxes and my sound card needs a repair so I'm all ITB right now, but it would be great to have stuff run through your setup. I'm sure it sounds great.
Lol, yeah I could see that. I'm a designer by trade and I find that creative directors like to control shit for exactly that reason. Justifying their jobs seems to be a huge part of the whole schtick lol.
yea we have a lot of nice outboard gear, a bettermaker limiter, a shadow hills compressor, we used to have an ssl sigma which is my personal fav summing amp but we have an API one now in our A room and a dangerous music on in the b. Tbh I only use outboard gear in the mastering phase and even then not too often, everything else is in the box but our preamps and stuff. Sonny Moore won like 3 grammys on an album that never left ableton 8 using ozone 5 so 🤷
creative industry struggles lol
Yeah, Ableton and some plugs are super capable these days, but I'm still a bit of a sucker for nice gear. I just have a shitload of gear guilt now that it's sitting in storage lol. I can't deny that I prefer working ITB for the most part these days though. But yeah, if I had access to your gear I'd probably master on it too.
Yeah I'm actually in the process of selling all my shit for this reason. I have amps and all kinds of other junk that just sit in my home studio and I never even touch them. Gonna strip down to just my guitars, a laptop, an interface, and some speakers lol
Yeah, I should really do this lol
