Thing is that’s not comparable to the situation here, where any and all evidence (for both sides of the argument I may add) come from horribly bias sources
Part of the problem is that the entire allegation has a "When did you start beating your wife?" vibe. There's no real way to address anything going on in Xinjiang without coming across as "horribly biased". Simply throwing up your hands and saying you don't know what's going on gets you pegged as a holocaust denialist. Taking the Both Sides line still ends up being a variation on China Bad.
You can't approach this story objectively, because the allegations are loaded from the start.
