It's so obviously batshit insane bullshit but there's obviously something very seductive about it otherwise so many millions of people wouldn't be drawn to it and obsess over it.

I think COVID helped break a lot of people's brains and they were desperate to find meaning, but Q is just beyond my understanding of why anybody let alone otherwise rational people could fall into that hole.

Any of you ever delve into that shit just for a gander? I really can't be bothered so I hope some of you have done the work for me already.

I think a lot of people overestimate the amount of the population that is in any way "rational".

I'm not convinced it's even a thing except in use to criticize the "irrational".

Q is fulfilling something emotional for the people that are involved and, as with any cult, it's death by 1000 cuts.

Most Q people didn't just like watch a video and go insane, it was a decades long process going from indoctrination within the public education system, years of white supremacist and transphobic media, and constant emotional degradation within the workplace or interpersonally to slowly dull their minds into one that sees a world that only makes sense if Q is real.

It's the disconnect between the reality that they are experiencing, one of a decaying white supremacist misogynistic empire, and the things they have been told their whole lives about their place in the heirarchy. Q fits in to fill those cracks.

Without intervention via ideological dissatisfaction and outside help a lot of people here would be in the same boat tbh.

Being said most of them are too far gone for any kind of hope to undo all that, but their minds were rotted by the complete clown show that is western civilization.

Furthermore, most cults prey on these same folks but generally want money or something physical from followers. Q's success is in no small part due to the zero monetary cost to get involved and its existence as a mostly online entity

American decay is really driving people insane. Most people previously have been sort of passively, apolitically nationalistic, "of course America is the greatest", sort of a status quo common sense. But now that it's problems are so obvious, and getting worse, they need an explanation, and a generic conspiracy of bad people doing bad things is convenient because anyone can project anything onto it.

Q is beyond our understanding because he is an omnipotent being. My favorite Q video is the one where the continuum takes away his powers and makes him human as a punishment. The best part was when the little alien fart cloud takes advantage of the opportunity to attack its now mortal nemesis and makes Q cry out for help lol.

What's wild to me is just how... long their content is. Like who the fuck has time to listen for three hours just to hear someone rant?

The research: An impossibly long and drawn out meandering pointless youtube video by a self-appointed expert on the subject
