I'm curious what other people use to think they wanted to do.
I wanted to be a clown, for example, which knowing just even an ounce of knowledge about the clown industry, I'm very glad I never kept that dream. It's both highly competitive, some-what expensive (if you go to clown school + props) but also a dying industry. Really a double whammy in that area.
I think the only reason I wanted to be a clown was to make people laugh, I was never really into the aesthetic of it. I mean the big shoes are pretty dope but all that other shit seems like a bit much with the makeup and stupid dotted suspenders.
i have no idea why im asking this, honestly. i just randomly thought about how insane it would have been if i was actually a serious clown, seems fucking bizarre as hell to think about now
I've read a few things about that job and it's definitely one of those that you're just not doing anything exciting for 99% of the time but when you actually do get to go out and dig and find some good shit, you're living the real dream.
I've read since firsthand accounts and yeah, that's what it sounds like. But if course those people are PhDs and tend to also teach. I think the monotony of digging might be kinda nice tho
