Cows that die when they aren't milked? I know it can be painful for a lactating cow to go un-milked and there are health complications that go with it, but don't they usually just stop lactating if that goes on for too long?
I worked on a farm and they usually died before they got to this point. Most of the harm to the animals would disappear with a change in diet and letting them have some exercise.
